Kevin Mills is a Senior Government Affairs Consultant based in Bogota, Colombia. He represents clients in the Latin America region where he focuses on market development, advocacy services and strategic relationships. He has extensive experience in national and regional public affairs initiatives and managing diplomatic, law enforcement and government relationships to achieve legislative and policy changes.
Kevin joins the firm after three decades working for British law enforcement, both in the UK and many overseas positions, including as a Regional Director for Latin America. More recently he has acted as a Senior Consultant for the Pan American Development Foundation in Washington D.C. He has worked with political, justice, police, intelligence, military, and NGO leaders throughout Latin America for the last 15 years and partnered with US and European government and federal agencies on many complex regional cooperation programs.
Throughout his career Kevin has led and mentored others in many serious and organized crime strategies and techniques including the use of forensic, digital, and covert technologies. In 1997 he received a national police bravery award and has been decorated since with eleven UK and foreign exemplary police service medals.
Kevin was born and raised in the UK where he obtained his bachelor´s degree in Criminology and a post graduate diploma in International Criminal Justice. He also has a post graduate diploma in Public Policy Management from AIPM in Sydney, Australia.
Daniela Suarez is a Government Affairs Consultant based in Bogotá, Colombia. She represents clients in Latin America region and helps develop criminal policy, institutional relationships, and advocacy support. Daniela has 12 years’ experience working across Latin America on matters relating to crime, justice, and security both at the operational and policy level.
Daniela joins the firm following five years’ experience representing the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime and a further five years as Director of the “Disruptive Ideas Against Crime” Think Tank inside the Colombian Attorney General´s Office where she led research strategies to combat illicit economies, cybercrime, terrorism, and organized crime. Daniela is a well-known academic speaker and teacher having delivered keynote presentations at various national and international seminars across the hemisphere.
She is author of several articles and publications and most recently (2020) published the “Disruptive Strategy Against Illegal Drugs” on behalf of the Colombian Attorney General. She is the founding director of a US based NGO called “Disruptive Ideas” aimed at developing crime and justice projects through applied science.
Daniela studied her bachelor´s degree in Political Science at the University of Antioquia in Colombia and her master’s degree in Cybercrime at the University of Rioja in Spain. She has undertaken specialist studies in Counter Terrorism at the Institute of Security Studies in Europe at the George Marshall Center in Garmisch, Germany and was the recipient of a study award “Community Surveillance and the Law” from the Visiting Leaders program of the Department of State in Washington D.C.
She has received various awards and accolades including the “Pedro Alejandro Rojas Betancourt” Medal from Interpol, Colombia.
